The sackbut player Falko Munkwitz was born in 1967 and studied 1984 - 1990 in Leipzig with Georg Fleischer. Since he is the first solo trombonist 1990 of the "Robert-Schumann-Philharmonie" in Chemnitz, before that he was working (1988-1990) with "Gewandhausorchester" Leipzig.
Since 1988 Falko Munkwitz has been playing alto and tenor sackbuts and is part of ensembles like Capella Coloniensis, Concerto Köln, Freiburger Barockorchester, Das Neue Orchester Köln, Capella Carthusiana, Dresdner Barockorchester and Chemnitzer Barockorchester. He plays concerts all over Europe and the USA, CDs, DVDs and radio broadcastings document his work.
